“Can you come over to my place?” Not a “Hi, how are you? Are you busy? Are you doing okay?” No, none of that, just the same old question. Deep down, Momo knew that Jihyo didn’t care how she was doing because she knew that if she’d answered the call, it meant she wasn’t really busy. Or maybe she was, but she didn't mind putting aside what she was doing.
“Yes, I can.” Massaging her temples wasn’t going to make the guilt she felt about what she was doing go away, but at least it allowed Momo to ignore it for now.

“You're good with words, you can get anyone you want. Trying to escape from you is useless.” She dropped herself on the chair in the corner, crossing her legs, displaying her shiny skin like it was a prize. “Now tell me, should I be scared?”

Sana stopped.

“Dismissing me.”
Sana stared at her for a long moment. Long enough that the silence almost began to ring.
