AU where Betty's Enchiridion magic works. Simon is changed back, but he still feels the crown's power, albeit in a different way. It will not tarnish his body permanently now — only when he wears it. More importantly, he is back with his dear Betty, but he is struggling to understand why she is so different after all of this time. In an effort to relate to her more, he uses the crown every chance he gets so he can be in the same mindset as her, but it proves to be a bad idea, as the two of them get very carried away and struggle to contain the chaos they end up causing around the Land of Ooo.

It was not unexpected. The Goddess thwarts the Devil and return the way things are back to the status quo. Homura had already prepared herself for this inevitable possibility.
What WAS unexpected was just how quick Homura lost her godlike power. She managed to rule this universe for...what? one and a half month? Homura couldn't help but feel a little bit unsatisfied (and a little bit embarrassed) with how things went.
So what can The Devil, whose lizardly claw had been clipped and raven wings recklessly plucked, do now? She doesn't give up, that's what. She never does. She just...needed something over-the-top to convince her beloved Goddess to descent back down into the realm of mortals once again, this time without the need for conflict and violence.
