Summary
When he first started at the 118, the migraines seemed to come back in full force. After hours of research, he learned that the irregular sleep schedule that came with being a firefighter was probably the cause of it. The more he paid attention to it, the more it made sense. Nights where they were woken up by the alarm and interrupted his sleep usually resulted in a headache of some level. Once his irregular schedule became more regular to him, the headaches lessened. Still, there were usually a handful of days a month where they plagued him.
He had a carefully built routine for when this happened.

“Oh,” he hated this question. “It’s just Buck, I guess.”
“What do you mean?”
“Well, when I came out as trans I was already going by Buck. It’s how my team knew it, it’s how most of my friends addressed me too. I didn’t feel the need to pick something else out, you know?” Buck explained. Over the years, he had explained this countless times to various people.

He isn’t quite sure when the ripples turned into waves, dragging him under the surface. When his thoughts start to become louder or when he feels himself leaving his body. At first he tries to fight it, to keep his head above the water. But eventually his arms get tired, he gets tired of fighting and he lets the water swallow him whole. He knows that he should fight against the burning of his lungs, he just can’t bring himself to care.

From the moment he walked into the firehouse, Buck was drawn to him. There was something about the way he carried himself that made Buck want to know everything about him. Really, he should’ve stayed away but he had never been any good at that. Eddie fit into Buck’s life so seamlessly that it was hard to remember a time where they weren’t best friends. The movie nights and carpooling to and from work turned into Buck longing for more. Eddie’s hands would brush against his as they were walking side by side and the heat would light up Buck’s entire arm. He couldn’t help himself. He wanted more.or: buck has been falling head over heels from eddie since the moment they met. unfortunately, there are parts of his past that lead him to believing eddie would never want someone like him. so he does the best thing he can think of. distancing himself from the problem.

Summary
Minho looks at the younger man and sees every version of themselves. He sees them at nine and seven, meeting for the first time. He sees them at sixteen and fourteen, wondering when the distance between them started feeling so far. And he sees them now at twenty-five and twenty-three, trying to figure out what they are to each other now that “just friends” doesn’t feel like enough and “lovers” might be going too fast.
But then Seungmin is taking his hand with an easy smile on his face and leading him inside from the chilly winter air, and Minho finds that they don’t need to be anything more or less than just Minho and Seungmin right now.

Seungmin and Minho are constants in each other’s lives.

Seungmin is aware enough of social cues to know that this is the point when he should introduce himself. Unfortunately, however, he is, as mentioned before, exhausted. And also a little stupid.
“I’m tired,” is what Seungmin responds with, because apparently all his brain cells have vacated the premises.
Minho just laughs harder, before tugging the brim of Seungmin’s ugly work hat over his eyes.
“Cute,” Minho says, before beginning to walk out of the building. “Bye, Tired. See you next week.”

Summary
There were rumors circulating that management tried to keep Felix and Hyunjin apart because the company wanted to minimize rumors about them being lovers. That couldn’t be further from the truth. The reality was that the company would prefer it if they flirted on camera. They loved that shit. It brought in views and attention, which meant more money for the company. Hell, if Felix needed some quick cash, he could probably just kiss Hyunjin on a live and he'd get a cash bonus for making viral content.
Instead, Felix and Hyunjin rarely interacted because they couldn’t fucking stand each other.
