    Robby is fifty-four years old after PittFest and trying really hard not to come to terms with the fact that he is trans, even if it means destroying himself in the process. Jack is having none of it. He will love Robby no matter what, thank you very much.

    There is a terrible feeling in her guts. Dread has settled there like a voracious tick, and the more it grows, the more faint she feels.

    Jack knows. Jack knows. He saw the boy in the mirror. The boy who has stubbornly refused to go away since PittFest. She tried to get rid of him. She really did. She tried so hard, but the more she tried, the stronger he became. Now, she can’t look in a mirror without seeing him. It doesn’t matter what she is or isn't wearing, he is always there. Watching. Judging. Reminding her of everything she is doing wrong.

    But at least, he was her secret. Not anymore though. She is certain Jack saw him. And she is certain this is the beginning of the end. Nothing will ever be the same.

    Jack fell for Robby the first time he saw him, the first time he found himself under the gaze of those soft brown puppy eyes. Right then, he knew he was gone for. But alas, it seems that Robby is ready to reject him at every turn. Unless…

    “Hey, Jack?”
    “Hm?” Jack turned his head to look at him.
    Robby could hear his heart beating loudly into his ears. He could still backpedal, say anything else. Or he could take the risk.
    “You think you'd still want to buy me that drink?”
