The labor was longer than he had expected. At first Shadow had wondered if this was something to do with him, but he was assured by Amy and Tails (who played midwife and doctor for him given his distaste of hospitals) that some births are simply longer than others. He had to hope they were right, especially when they were assuring him he was doing a great job. Those words didn’t quite reach him until a pair of lips kissed the base of his ear and whispered, “You can do this, Shads. You’re incredible.”
Sonic, of course, had no medical knowledge to speak of like his brother and dear friend. However, he was there for every step...
He cut the umbilical cord and passed her over to Shadow for them to admire together.

Maybe they’d be past this point if they were allowed to have a real date forever ago. It’s not for the lack of trying, of course, but privacy is seldom. Something always gets in the way, whether that be Genya’s after school commitments or his siblings (especially Sanemi. Seriously) or the combination of their strange, needy friends- it gets Genya’s blood boiling thinking about all the reasons!"
Or, 3 times Genya and Zenitsu tried to go on their first date and the 1 time they actually got to.

Or, Sanemi is pent up and missing her girlfriend after weeks of waiting. Despite Sanemi being on her period, Giyuu makes sure to give her exactly what she’s been missing in the convenience of their shower.

'I know,' Tomioka sighs, 'but I can't ask anyone else.' "
Or, the war is over, leaving only Giyuu, Sanemi and Muichiro as the surviving Pillars. Though broken and alone, there's half a chance they'll be able to make themselves whole again with one another- even if they're the world's worst roommates.

"Sanemi takes it hesitantly, and despite having no expectations aside from food, he’s still hit with almost overwhelming surprise when he finds chunky bean ohagi in the parcel.
He blinks, staring at the wrapped ohagi for another solid ten seconds more before looking Tomioka straight in the eyes and blurting, 'You can’t cook.'
It’s… not what he means to say, but even if he had given it more thought, he’s not sure what he would say.
Tomioka doesn’t look offended though. Or maybe he is, and Sanemi is just having a hard time understanding these new expressions the Water Pillar has recently discovered. Either way, Tomioka doesn’t bite back at him, or even acknowledge the comment at all. He simply says, 'I need to speak with you. Will you hear me out?'"
Or, months after Giyuu and Sanemi's relationship falls through from Giyuu's alliance with the Kamado siblings, they have a talk just before the final battle with Muzan.

'KAA!' A shriek from up above pulls Senjuro from his thoughts. 'A MESSAGE FOR RENGOKU SENJURO!' A crow informs him.
Instinctive dread runs up Senjuro’s spine, once again much too familiar with the scene before him, but he relaxes when he realizes whose crow it is. He juts his elbow out for the bird to land on, smiling gently at the familiar face.
'MIST PILLAR, TOKITO MUICHIRO, IS ON HIS WAY. I REPEAT. MIST PILLAR, TOKITO MUICHIRO, IS ON HIS WAY!'
He has Muichiro. His best friend."
Or, Senjuro, still in the process of recovering from his brother's death, receives a visit from his best friend, Muichiro, who has recently regained his memories.

"Long days. Its been days. Three to be specific. And maybe this is stupid, maybe they should be beyond the initial brainstorming stage and already have the blueprints worked out, but there’s a few things holding them back from that kind of peak performance. For one, they haven’t slept longer than two hours a day since changing direction, and those aren’t even consecutive hours. Also, their blood stream is about ninety percent caffeine at this point, whether that be from coffee, or energy drinks, or anything else that can give them a boost.
... At the very least, they have each other to lean on. Maybe they’re not as close as the others, and Donatello has accepted that, but it’s still nice to have someone who understands you, and who you understand in turn.
…Even if you feel like you’re living in their shadow."
Or, while everyone else gets to embrace their counterparts, there's two turtles who are stuck with the task of getting everyone home. It should be easy- great minds think alike, right? But it's hard when those great minds want different things, leaving Donnie and Donatello with a complicated friendship they'll have to learn to navigate if they ever want to succeed.

Kyojuro whips off the covers and begins to stand up on shaky legs, to which both Akaza and Senjuro scramble to their feet to help him, but he waves them off with the same signature smile he always has.
'I could get it started for you,' Senjuro offers.
'No need! I can take care of myself!'
Akaza narrows his eyes at him, 'you’re sure you don’t need help?'
He nods, 'positive! But there is something I’d like to ask.'
'What?' Both Akaza and Senjuro ask at the same time, looking a little embarrassed at that as well.
'I’d like to eat! Could you two please make me something while I bathe?'
…What."
Or, Kyojuro has fallen sick with the flu, and decides to use it as the perfect opportunity to get Akaza and Senjuro to hang out with one another since their friendship is... lacking. They'll do it of course, if only for Kyojuro's happiness, but how exactly is a impossibly old demon and teenage boy supposed to get along? That's for them to find out.
This is also a follow up to an older fic I did, but this can be read as standalone.

But these drawings are… personal. His heart and soul goes into them, more than he does with his average art. It’s not just art to him, it’s the only way he can express his feelings. He can’t tell Miles after all."
Or, Mikey has a crush on a boy who doesn't even live in this dimension. He's head over heels, but convinced nothing can come of it. After all, he's a mutant, right? Well, Leo isn't going to let that stand, and decides to knock some sense into his little brother.

"Yeah, so there’s this weird thing with Leonardo, right? And maybe Leo’s imagining it, but he’s pretty sure his counterpart actually hates him...But, that’s crazy, right? Leo has his fair share of haters, but being hated by himself? Okay, that’s not entirely new either, but you get the point. Leonardo hates Leo, and he doesn’t really know what to do with that.
It’s not that Leo loves Leonardo either, but he wouldn’t say he hates him. He’s just… painfully, grossly, achingly jealous of his natural leadership skills that Leo can’t even dream of living up to."
Or, through Mikey's rusty experience opening interdimensional portals, he accidentally pulls alternate versions of themselves into their world with no way home. Everyone is adjusting pretty well except for Leonardo, who finds himself constantly at odds with Leo because of his drastically different leadership style and carefree nature. It comes to a head one day in a huge blow up, leaving Leo determined to mend and build a relationship with his counterpart no matter what.

“Sure I- Master, I can’t breathe- I’m down for anything.”
“Great! If only somebody would get up so we can go,” he drawls.
With a deep groan, Leo throws his legs over the side of his bed, “you’re paying.”
Or, Mikey is hungry, Leo is tired, and Casey is trying to make sense of this future he’s been forced into, all while sneaking out for gas station snacks.

Wisteria houses are worse too, because the poisonous flowers reside in every corner of the premises. It not only curls around his lungs to suffocate him, but makes it harder to spy on whoever might be inside. He doesn’t like the risk he’s taking even if he’s cautious not to get hurt.
But he endures it, how else will he get to see Tanjirou?"
Or, Tanjirou and Inosuke, both demons on opposite sides of the war, meet late at night despite the rules and learn a little bit more about each other in the process.

Akaza laughs humorlessly, 'what, did you think I’m indestructible or something?'
Kyojuro shakes his head, 'of course not!' He knows as well as anyone that a single minute in the sunlight would spell out the end for him. 'It’s just rare to see a demon in physical pain.'
Another pained groan emits from Akaza, and Kyojuro’s own stomach twists at the sound. 'Is there anything I can do?' He asks, fearing it might be useless seeing as he can’t let Akaza eat someone no matter how bad it hurts.
Akaza huffs, 'not unless you have some spare blood lying around.'"
Or, Akaza is in the transition period of surviving off blood and blood alone, but it has painful drawbacks. Kyojuro wants to help and won't take no for an answer.

Much to Senjuro’s shock and horror, Kyojuro smiles back at him, so genuine and happy and- and he lets the demon, a demon, put his hands on his sides, running them down to his hips. He lets the demon lean into his face, daring to do what Senjuro refuses to think of because this cannot be happening. His brother, the Hashira ranked Demon Slayer, is not straddling a demon in his room, he is not going to kiss him, this is not real.
He’s frozen on the spot for a moment longer, but when Kyojuro starts to bring their lips together, Senjuro finally squeaks out, 'brother?'"
Or, Senjuro finds out about his brother's relationship with a certain demon, and has one hell of a night.
