Summary
15 years of baggage she locked away and ignored because that’s what was expected of her. 15 years of feeling like she wasn’t worth anything like everyone would just leave her. 15 years of pushing away the anger because it was expected of her, 15 years of trying to prove to The Council that she wasn’t a monster. She lets it out. She’s tired of fighting, tired of trying to prove herself worthy. If all they saw in her was a monster, then she’d play her part, she would be the monster that they all wanted her to be. The world around her shakes and the sound of metal squeaking fills her ears as she snaps her eyes open. Her once blue eyes which had hope, now burn a golden yellow as she lets the anger take over her. Not even the thought of Jade could put out the flames of the anger.

Summary
Jade hasn’t seen Kit since Kit walked out the door of their apartment in the middle of a fight six years ago. Jade left Manhattan days later for London to meet her sister for the first time and decided to stay.
For the past six years, Kit’s felt trapped on the island of Manhattan, giving everything to her career. But each street corner brings back a memory from the eight-year relationship that she destroyed with two words she didn’t even believe in.
Jade never thought she’d move back to the city she grew up in. Kit never thought she’d see Jade again. But there, she is. Leaning casually against a bookshelf looking both older and unchanged. Kit doesn’t know that everything about Jade’s life has changed.
So, Kit takes the first step. And hopes.

A really cute modern AU! I usually hate it when there are children in fanfics and the main couple gets a child together because usually the children are poorly written. This might just be the only exception! So well written and I absolutely ADORE Pia!
