Summary
By Edazi Trask
36 Trozemere, Year 71
The scenery around you matters as much as the sets on stage in "KoTher'ai", the simple yet rousing play that opened last Trozmere night at the reshaped Hallowed Round.
It is an old story. Murzat dreams. He rises to lead. He is betrayed. He falls. I call this story simple as an acknowledgement, not an insult. The Pariah blades were simple too, and that was their power. "KoTher'ai", likewise, seems made to fulfill a single purpose. This is the story of Dol-Makjar standing up, told by the brother of a modern renegade. The simplicity is the point. "KoTher'ai" provides no place for any of its ten-thousand person audience to misunderstand.

Summary
“You said goodbye already.”
Pomni whirled around to face Zooble. “What?”
Zooble looked right at her. “Pomni. You gotta let him go.”
Her chin quivered, and tears threatened to spill out.
She raised her head resolutely to meet Zooble’s eyes.
“He didn’t want to go.”
Pomni decides to find out if she can still communicate with an abstracted Jax.

Summary
Shadia knows in theory that Azune has been to war, but knowing is very different from understanding. Her father went to war, once. He doesn't talk about it. Not really, not to her and or to Alogar either, except in that sideways way that he sometimes talks about dangerous things; telling fantastical stories about something else entirely and letting you read between the lines. Which means Azune has lived something her father thinks that even telling her about is too risky, and Shadia cannot understand.
(In which Hal's children also love each other, all of them, including the one Uncle Thjazi left on dad's doorstep one day without any warning.
...Or: Azune spends a year with the Fang-Lloy-D'vyen family.)

Summary
In which Demodus Blix has a terrible no-good very bad day (and also a new crush, but that's none of your damn business), Azune Nayar has moments of unpleasant introspection followed by moments of reassuring conversation, and Murray Mag'nesson wonders if they are going to get out of this sewer anytime soon (because she is an inch away from murdering at least one of her two favourite ex-students).
Now with an unplanned epilogue in which Azune gets a man fired, and Demodus should not find that as endearing as he does.

Summary
She sighs and rubs the back of her phone absently. She turns it on again; 4 minutes. When she looks up, there's—
A ghost, lingering in front of the cafe. He is a photo copy of her dad 18 years ago, slightly silvery blond hair and all. He looks anxious.
She can't help but stare. His head turns, attention caught by her gaze. He opens his mouth, and out comes a soft and afraid, "Caterpillar?"
Cat stands. "Dad?" she whispers, afraid she's entirely wrong but simultaneously certain she is not.[ Lepidoptera Adams has a lunch date with a dead man. ]
