  1. Summary

Because of a Quirk, one of the best tool any plot could wish for, people start having memories from a different live, in a different world.

Those different lives have a tendency to be pretty traumatic for anyone involved, but you have to learn to live with it.

Thank God those I know who got caught up in it have nothing to do with the other life I'm reliving in a messy order, right ?

    Summary

"Fire. Air. Water. Earth. My aunties used to tell me stories about the old days, a time of peace, when the Avatar kept balance between the Fire Nation, Air Nomads, Water Tribes, and Earth Kingdom. But that all changed when the Water Tribes attacked. Only the Avatar mastered all four elements. Only he could stop the ruthless waterbenders. But when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years have passed and the Water Tribes are nearing victory in the war. Five years ago, my father, uncle, and cousin journeyed to the Earth Kingdom to help fight against the Water Tribes, leaving me and my brother alone. Some people believe that the Avatar was never reborn into the Earth Kingdom, and that the cycle is broken. But my brother never lost hope. He still believes that, somehow, the Avatar will return to save the world."

    Summary

An encounter with a truth-based akuma reveals a devastating secret of the Dupain-Cheng household, specifically that her parents were planning to give her up for adoption. With Hawk Moth's ability to prey on negative emotion, those plans had been put on hold. Her family has a deadline, but that doesn't mean she can't search for a new one before the deed is done.

    - - - - - -

“We’ll just need to find you a home before she defeats him.” Chloe sprung forward slightly in excitement, eyes wide as she exclaimed, “Oh! I know! You could ask Wayne!”

“Uh,” Marinette looked at the others and saw their expressions were just as blank as her own. “Who?”

“Bruce Wayne!” Chloe stuck her nose in the air as her smile turned over-confident with a hint of know-it-all. “That American Billionaire. He has a penchant for adopting kids with tragic backstories, and you’re just his type. Dark hair and blue eyes, and he’d love that whole ‘Goody-Two-shoes’ thing you have going on. I bet he’d adopt you in a heartbeat!”

“Sure, Chloe. I’ll just send him the adoption papers with a ‘Congrats, it’s a girl!’ letter.”

    On Elrond Peredhel (18 works)
    leodesic

Various stories about Elrond starting from the first age and the peredhel twins joining Gil Galad army after leaving their kidnap family against their will, up to fourth age in Aman.
I like how everyone involved can be related to, even the characters that Elrond dislike for perfectly valid reason. The closest to an actual antagonist would be Thingol, but even him, when you get his point of view, you can sorta see how he came to his own conclusions : wrong, and seriously problematic when it comes to respecting others' boundaries, but well... Still understandable... Not just "I'm an ass because I've always been an ass, and care for nothing but myself". More, "I'm an ass, I've honestly always been one, and I truly believe that I can't be that wrong, so the only other explanation has to be much much worse, therefore, my legitimate worry provoke drastic decisions that somehow end up making everything worse : how come ?".
