Summary
Hannibal straightens up and takes a step back when Alana leans in too close. He keeps himself from barking his teeth and snarling at the Beta. Perhaps in another life they could have been something but it would never have lasted; Hannibal finds his relationship with Alana amusing but in no way fulfilling as the one he was with Will. Behind her eyes lies no dark forest for him to roam through but a room without windows and a meaningless life where he would wear himself out by pretending to be a man.
“I’m sorry, Alana but I’m-“
“Taken.” Will’s voice cuts through the kitchen from where he stands in the doorway, naked and gloriously showing off their mating from earlier. “Sorry, but I don’t believe we’ve met.
