You hate it.
As you sit in interminable meetings listening to troop movements and supply shipments and the hollow comments of your omnipotent father, the smallest man to ever tower over a civilisation, you fantasise about pinning Ianthe to the ground and wrenching the shining bones from their socket. In your mind's eye you have a knee braced on Ianthe’s shoulder, holding her in place, before ripping the hideous arm off in one go.

A soul is stuffed back into a body that doesn't fit right anymore. God is kind to be cruel, Ianthe doesn't respect boundaries, and Prince Kiriona doesn't know who she is but knows what she's lost.

Gideon is honestly fine with how her life is going. She's writing her silly little Cythday fanfics, going into her silly little job to be flirted at by middle aged women trying to figure out the elliptical, making silly little pieces of paper arbitrarily assigned value because she lives in a dystopian society (capitalism). It would be nice to have a little more control over her free time, sure, and she'd like if Nova Tumblr user thelostlyctor would give her a break, but it's all manageable. She's talking to a cute goth who she's pretty sure likes her back. Things are good. Things are great.
