“At least it’s not a full moon.” Liam says glancing casually at the bright moon above their heads like he just noticed it. He’s even able to wait for two long seconds before bringing his eyes on Theo’s face, scanning it almost hysterically. “It means we’re not going to be eaten alive by werewolves.”
Nothing.
No wincing, no chemosignals, no Theo giving a fuck.
He doesn’t even look at him, just keeps staring at his sandwich as if Liam didn’t already told him what he put and most important what he didn’t put inside it. That’s some disrespectful shit right there, you accidentally poison someone once and your word on sandwiches is suddenly unreliable.
Who’s allergic to peanut butter anyway? What a loser.
“Though, it’d be cool, wouldn’t it.” Liam adds very casually, still keeping track of every millimeter of Theo’s face. He’s going to agree with him now, come on. Werewolves are cool, he can’t deny that. And that’s all Liam wants to hear for now, because he’s so patient and mature and cool is enough. He doesn’t need a yeah, I always dreamed about dating a werewolf. Just a little acknowledgment of werewolves’ coolness, that’s it.

“Same thing.” Liam shrugs without turning back and Theo keeps staring at him as he disappears upstairs again. What an asshole.He loves him already.

Two weeks after the final fight against the hunters in Beacon Hills, the one that Monroe actually survived, which makes it the exact opposite of final if you asks Liam, Theo is knocking at his door.
“I need to take a shower.”
Liam sniffs the boy in front of him very shortly before frowning in disgust.
“Yes you do” He agrees, before closing the door right back.
“Who was it, honey?” His mom’s voice comes from the kitchen and only the delicious smell of the roast chicken she’s making for dinner stops the growl to erupt from Liam’s throat: he’s not honey, he’s a dangerous, deadly bee.

Mason asks, because he’s thoroughly confused, “What are you guys doing here?”
“What are you guys doing here?” Stiles shoots back in an equal amount of confusion.
“Is that…” Corey’s eyeing the balloon tied around Stiles’ wrist. “…a ‘marry me’ balloon? Did Liam ask for your help, too?”
Stiles jerks his head back. “What do you mean Liam asked for our help?”
Mason advances a step. “Liam’s proposing to Theo.”
“No,” Lydia snaps, her perplexed expression growing deeper as she pointedly corrects Mason. “Theo is proposing to Liam.”
There’s a short silence that comes down in the room, the four blinking at each other as the gears in their minds begin to turn, clicking, before Lydia erupts, “Oh my god, those two!” the same time Stiles says, “Well, folks, may the best proposal win.”
