The stories claimed they had no independent thought, beings no better than a well trained police dog, though they looked like gods looming in the sky. Each part of them was carefully manufactured to be perfect in every single way. Nobody had a clue where they came from, and the Stranger had always figured that they would never come face to face with one to ever find out.
