    One night after work, Shinobu drags Tamayo to a metal show, and she is immediately enamored with the band's lead guitarist. A trip backstage after the show doesn't help matters, and she can't help but want to get to know Nakime better.

    Nakime doesn't quite know what to do with the beautiful, successful doctor who seems to be interested in her for some reason. As much as she likes Tamayo, she can't help but wonder what the other woman could possibly see in her.

    Leaving the rest of the band determined to make sure she doesn't blow this opportunity.

    After their fight Shinobu had come to her with flowers in her hair and clad in nothing else, and they’d bathed in a hidden hot spring together once Mitsuri shed all her clothes as well; they suddenly seemed heavy, too much, too weighty to care for. Their Nichirin blades were left by the wayside, not entirely out of sight but enough so they’d forget why they were there. The warmth of the spring and the solitude of the two under the gleaming moonlight was enough.

    “The sky is beautiful tonight, isn’t it,” Shinobu had said.

    And then she was reduced to putty in her hands, like bread dough in her hands, all big and strong in the right places, Shinobu said, and she’d felt so free and unashamed of her own unfeminine body, and she’d said so; and Shinobu, swimming circles around her and touching her, said, “you’re perfect the way you are; I’d dreamed of being like you, once upon a time, wishing I could keep pace with the men,” and looking down at her reflection in the limpid water, lit sultry and low by the moon, Mitsuri believed her.

    And what do I have left to believe in.

    Tamayo had been fascinated by Muzan’s power and physiology; he was something that wasn’t human. He could alter his body at will by controlling and replicating each individual cell. Because of this ability, he could heal from any wound, bore immense physical power, and turn other humans into the same creature. He did this by injecting his own blood into the subject, taking his fantastical cells and changing each and every one of the subject’s, until they became what they ended up calling demons.
    Tamayo had been among the first to be turned, and Muzan had called her his masterpiece. Not long after her own transformation, the twin brothers Yoriichi and Michikatsu had been turned. The three of them watched as Muzan Kibutsuji turned more and more humans, growing his army of almost unkillable creatures.

    Then they had discovered something truly disturbing.

    Within each of his demon’s bodies, Muzan could use his cells to manipulate their minds. He would take good, peaceful people and turn them into murderous, obedient slaves. He locked their true feelings, morality, and desires away any time someone dared to even think something that didn’t align with what He wanted, and him alone.

    And it was wrong.
