She’s running faster than she has any right too.
Unbeknownst to her, a pair of hands just narrowly miss grabbing her in that alley and the next thing she knows, her body is ramming into Silco’s. It turns out that the explosion did do something good, because he’s off balance. And his little cronies are too fucked up to give chase properly. So, for once, she won’t fight. She’ll take a page out of her sister’s book, and run as fast as she can.
Towards Powder. And the big mass of a man that was once her father.

This story tries to explore what the show didn’t have time to.
It focuses on the scenes that were never shown and gives more space to everything these characters carry. Not to rewrite who they are, but to dig deeper into what was already there.
It follows an alternate version of Arcane, where Vi’s trauma rises to the surface, Jinx struggles with her confusion, and Caitlyn confronting both her anger toward Jinx and her feelings for Vi. And then what happens when those worlds collide.
This version also gives Vi the focus she never got in S2. It follows her more closely, not just as a fighter or a sister, but as someone still dealing with everything left unresolved.
This is a new timeline shaped by a single event that will change all of them forever.
Why does anyone commit acts others deem unspeakable? For love.

Summary
After Vi, Powder, Mylo and Clagger failed to pull off the topside job without loosing the stuff, Vi decides to go on a solo job to make up for the loss. While she's gone for two days, Silco puts his plan into action, resulting in Vander, Mylo and Clagger dead, and Ekko and Powder arrested. Vi returns from her job to her entire family gone, and Silco there, telling her that they were all killed by enforcers, and offering to make Piltover pay.

This wasn't how it was supposed to go.
Heroes and Villains were supposed to intermingle, they were supposed to interact, Heroes were supposed to step in and DO something about the growing problem.
Instead, the quirked society had slowly segregated into two parts. The Overcity, and the Undercity. One full of Heroes, a so-called safe haven, and the other, a dark place full of villains and criminals and society rejects.
Heroes didn't want to fight, and Villains stuck to themselves.
As society slowly shifted into how it is now, many people got "swallowed up". The less fortunate. The weak. The small.
The quite unfortunate, meek, frail Izuku Midoriya being one of those people. At only 14 years old, he was "swallowed up" into the Undercity, like many quirkless individuals before him.
He wouldn't stay quirkless for long, however.

When Katsuki Bakugou was 16, he made it into the prestigious Hero school, known as UA. He would learn to be a hero. The best there ever was. Better than their current Symbol of Peace. He would fight to make a change in how society was now. He would get Deku back.

The pink-haired girl’s body jerks with every sob, silent tears dripping down her dirtied cheeks and pooling beneath her on the ground. Powder’s gone. She’s gone. They’re all gone.
There are footsteps behind her, the clunk of boots.
Vi snarls, fists raised and body twisting around, lurching forward instinctively. A hand drapes on-top of her head. “I’m not here to hurt you.”
Her body slumps, Vander’s only a few meters away, the remnants of shimmer still spread beneath his skin, his flesh, soon to still into rigidness. A single remaining tear slides across her skin, contrarily human to his, and between her lips, the taste of salt bitter on her tongue.
“I’m going to kill you one day.” She mutters, the heavy weight of water pouring through her lungs in drowning debt to her father.
Silco laughs morbidly. “Oh I don’t doubt that.”

Now, Vi is taken by Silco and is only alive thanks to Shimmer, but the shimmer inside her is not normal, and it is changing her to the point that she literally does not feel like herself.
