“We can’t be seen together,” Shane hisses. A bottle girl parades a flaming champagne bottle above their heads and sidles between them, blocking Ilya’s wide, frantic eyes for a moment.
Ilya crosses his arms, his voice breathy. “You know, if you wanted to be treated like shit, Hollander, you should have just said.”
Shane freezes. “My relationship is none of your business.”
“Really?” Ilya questions. A vein pops out of his neck, a greenish wire that looks purple under the strobe lights. “I saw it. She hit you.”

Where, months after Shane's post-tuna melt panic, Shane and Ilya lock eyes across the dancefloor - only this time, Shane’s “new girlfriend” isn’t Rose, and she’s nowhere near as kind.

The first thing Cas does coming back from the Empty is start a shotgun war with Sam. Twelve years and he's never complained about the backseat once, but apparently he's got the down time to do it now. Sam is outraged and ridiculously competitive. Dean's staying out of it. He's got his own feelings to think about now, this annoying little itch in the back of head that's telling him he's supposed to figure something out. Something to do with Cas. He doesn't know how the now ex-angel summoned the Empty, or what he said that made him smile tears of joy moments before being killed. Dean's got a lot of shit to figure out, but will Cas wait for him?
