Summary
It's been four months since a new hire for the custodial staff began prowling the halls of Eldia High. A one-eyed, intimidating man who Erwin deems inconsequential, a shadow he needn't shine a light on. It isn't until the annual faculty Christmas party that he finally decides to introduce himself to the sullen face he's passed many times in the halls. It seems he was incorrect in assuming Levi negligible. No, he is far from that. He soon becomes the most important person in Erwin's life.

Summary
Kenny’s death takes Levi aback. Erwin senses his unusual mood and suggests having a cup of tea to help him relax. Given the circumstances, the conversation inevitably turns to Levi’s past.

“What if I'm not strong enough to carry it all?” Came Levi’s reply, small and timid for the first time in front of Erwin.
“You don't have to carry it all alone. I'll carry the burden with you, if you'll let me.”
They were both whispering as they exchanged words. Talking in hushed quiet tones that could be misconstrued as them sharing conspiratorial secrets.
