Summary
Loki Odinson has always been kept on a very tight leash. For as long as he could remember, more so than even his brother and he had never truly questioned these restrictions. He assumed it was fairly normal and even that his parents had their reasons. Now in college he sees the perfect opportunity to prove to his father he's serious about stepping into his shoes one day, but the plan backfires and it only winds up revealing the truth of his own identity and succeeds in driving him from his home.

Summary
Thor fights tooth and nail to have his brother pardoned for his actions on Midgard and once he finally does he then pushes for Loki to be allowed to carry out his sentence on Midgard fighting alongside him with the Avengers. Loki isn't to thrilled about it, but it's worse than being stuffed in the cell in the dungeons, so he agrees to the oaths and in return he even gets to keep full use of his magic. He's not expecting it to be easy at first. He's not looking for acceptance over night, but he figures given time they would see he means to do what he can to help. After all the more he helps them the better the chance they will be prepared to face down the Mad Titan. They of course would have to talk to him in order to learn about that, which none of them seem inclined to do. They merely avoid him at all costs and he's stuck haunting the halls of Stark tower like a forgotten ghost. Until he gets fed up and decides to make his own home for himself.

Summary
When Loki is born to Odin Borson the mayor of the town of Tonsberg with deformities that leave looking far from normal he only lets Frigga keep him under the condition that the child be locked away and his existence kept a secret amongst only those that are necessary to raising the child in secret. Loki is raised in the attic of the Borson estate with limited contact with his mother. He finds ways to navigate the home at night when everyone else is asleep, but he keeps his existence unknown to all.
Things all change one day when a guest from overseas, a representative of the Transcontinental Voyage Association, one Mobius Donaldson is sent for a short stay with the family while he works along side Odin and some officials of the surrounding towns to help them with the challenges of building their railways. Through the course of his stay Mobius starts to notice strange happenings in his room and around the home and being the curiously analytical man that he is he can't just leave it alone. Especially when his books keep disappearing and reappearing.

Except...they almost do not recognize him at first. On the surface everything seems to be fine, or at the very least the others feel it's not their place to question anything. However, once Tony get's a peek at what happens behind closed doors it's impossible not to get involved.

Then the door opened, and he walked in.
Tall, lean, and self-assured in a way that made the room feel smaller. His long black hair was pulled back into a loose ponytail, and his sharp cheekbones caught the light like they were sculpted out of marble. The thick, knitted, black jumper he wore gave him an air of drama. He looked like he ordered really expensive coffee and had an organized laptop screen. He also looked…well…hmm.
Steve had been expecting a professional, someone detached. What he got was one of the prettiest people he had every seen in his life. Fuck Aphrodite. He was already in Olympus.OR:

One of the dining room chairs scrape linoleum, creaking under Loki’s sudden weight. A rhythmic tapping against wood ensues. “I don’t need medicine,” Loki says. “Haven’t I made it clear enough? I told you I’m not sick, and you said you believed me. We’re beyond our days of betrayal.”
Yeah, right. Mobius turns to look at him and double-takes. In the harsh kitchen lights, his skin almost glows from the pallor. Terrible was an understatement. He looks ghoulish.
“What? You’re staring again,” Loki says.
Mobius bites the inside of his cheek. “Are you sure you’re feeling alright?”
