"What were you guys doing when you were trying to track me?" June asks in the middle of lunch, and we all pause.
"What do you uh- What do you mean?" Dirk clears his throat. "You want us to say that we all held hands and skipped to ya?"
Quint and I snort, laughing when June frowns in response. "No, you said Jack was freaking out–" "HEY‐!" "And as true as that might be, what else were you like..Freaking out about?"

June and I woke up to Johnny Steve jumping on my stomach, which, ouch! Isn't something I, or anyone else for that matter, want to wake up to! "June! Jack! That thing from earlier! The-The weird bone thing?"
We jolt up, "The Bone Howler?" June asks before I can. Way to steal my thunder!
"Yes!" Johnny Steve points outside. "It's- It's still alive!"
