Morning always comes. The morning, when they have to get up, dress, and drive back to Arkham on only a couple hours of sleep. The morning when they have to kiss goodbye still in the manor — always deep, heartbreaking, until their lips are sore. When Bruce asks a quiet “I’ll see you soon?” in the privacy of Batmobile, and Harvey whispers an almost inaudible “Always.” When Batman will squeeze a scarred wrist behind Two-Face’s back just lightly before passing him to the personnel of his asylum.
Sun will come up. That can’t be prevented; after all, the planet keeps spinning. But the nights were theirs, and Bruce will never be a man strong enough to refuse himself closing his eyes and lean into his touch.Bookmarked by ThatPunkPickle

Summary
Most arguments between the two didn’t end in Hal’s favor, but this was an exception. After several minutes of hurling insults, Hal had let his self-control crack just a little bit, shouting, “I bet this is all an elaborate excuse so you can watch me jerk off.”
He was expecting Bruce to yell at him, call him a narcissist or a man-child. Instead, Bruce went completely silent, muscles tense. He quickly turned on his heel and left the room.
Huh, Hal thought. Interesting.
So, Hal decides to conduct a little experiment. As a joke.
