Briskly shoving the person in front of him aside, he strode forward and grabbed the hunter by the back of his coat, violently turning him around and shouting in his face.«What the hell are you doing!?»
For just a second, the man seemed nonplussed. His grey eyes widened but a fraction, but he otherwise remained unbothered by the turn of events.
«I'm defending myself.»
«He wouldn't have been able to harm you in any way! Aren't you a hunter of beasts? Don't you have any pride? Retract your weapon!»
«He attacked me first. He should have known he had nothing to gain from it, and I retaliated accordingly.»
«Are you a child!? You didn't have to react this way!»
«The only one who's acting like a child here is you. Can't we have a civil discussion like two normal people?»The stranger fully smiled down at him, and Kurapika saw red.

The wagging tail was distracting. He still had the raccoon dog ears and tail like when Kurapika first busted him in human form. The fluffy tail reached slightly past his head, and the ears were enlarged to match his human size.
Lucilfer smiled when their eyes met.
Kurapika didn’t.
“Are you…” He honestly didn’t know where to start. “A furry?”
For the studious Kurapika, finding his school rival indefinitely stuck in the form of a half-animal is the last thing he expects his final year at Hogwarts to have in store for him.
The deal was supposed to be simple, tolerate each others’ presence for the time being and then go on their separate ways once the curse is undone. Unfortunately, he neglected to consider that Chrollo Lucilfer is nothing if not a total enigma, and perhaps this unlikely roommate arrangement is not at all as simple a secret as his annoying and absolutely not attractive nemesis is making it out to be.

Kurapika died on the Black Whale and woke in the Lukso forest, years before the massacre. His clan was alive. His chains were intact. And somewhere in the smog-choked ruins of Meteor City, the boy who would become the Phantom Troupe's leader was reading a book about the Scarlet Eyes and wondering what they were worth.
If I cannot kill the monster, Kurapika thought, I will have to love it into something else.
Kurapika closed his eyes. Chrollo's fingers were touching his face. His fingertips were cold. Kurapika could feel the faint calluses on Chrollo's index finger and thumb, from holding books, he realised. From turning pages by candlelight.
He leaned in.
The kiss was clumsy. Chrollo tilted his head the wrong way, their noses brushing awkwardly. He made a small, frustrated sound against Kurapika's mouth and adjusted, and the second attempt was better, softer, his lips parting on an inhale like he was surprised this was allowed.
He told himself it was strategy. He kept telling himself that long after strategy stopped being a convincing explanation.

Illumi's soul has been sold for the second time--initially to his first love, Chrollo, and then to his worst nightmare, Pride.
Pride and Lust's history, fraught with tension and betrayal, has led to the demise of Illumi's afterlife. Being caught in the midst of Pride's revenge has its downsides, surely, but an unexpected and inexplicable affliction leaves all parties bewildered: Illumi has acquired the ability to block Pride's mind-reading, is perfecting astral projection at an alarming rate, and appears less and less like a soul as time goes on.
Illumi uses his newfound abilities to thwart Pride's plan: by feigning amnesia.
The only problem: Pride immediately counters this by faking their betrothal.
