“What--?” A blue-clad arm reaches out for Kara -- for the body Kara is currently inhabiting -- and freezes. Confused blue eyes dart between the navy super-suit, the unfamiliar, calloused hand, and the concerned expression that Kara knows belongs to the person looking at it.
“You’re--me. I’m you.” Kara, staring into her own confused face, takes a deep breath. “We switched bodies.”

Vi wraps one arm around Caitlyn’s waist and uses the other to pin her hands to her own chest. “If you go after her,” Vi says into her ear, urgency poking holes through the calm, “she’ll kill you.”
The first sob sneaks out as Caitlyn glances back to the smoldering in the distance. “My mum,” she croaks.

It’s not that Kara doesn’t want to repair the broken bridge between Supergirl and Lena-- quite the opposite, in fact, but Lena had been excruciatingly clear with how she felt about Supergirl now. Kara had reeled from those words days after. They settled deep in her chest and crackle with pain every time she breathes. They are a grim reminder of what Kara had done, and what she continues to do. Mrs. Arias had been right; she could bury it deeper and deeper, but it would always come back to blow up in her face at triple the strength.
She’s caught between love and hate, and it’s a very odd position to be in.---

Caitlyn sounded irate now. “Yes, I recall. Tell me where you are.”
“That—that course was shit,” Vi mumbled, blood staining her lips now. “D-Didn’t tell me to—to look out for smoke bombs. Anyway, I think I m-might be d-dying.”

Or, Vi and Caitlyn realize a new poison is sweeping the streets, and time is running out to find the culprit and solve a series of murders. Future Piltover fic, set in some imaginary canon universe by an author who has absolutely no exposure to LoL other than Arcane.

They bring each other lunch. They babysit Esme together. Everyone around them can see what they are, but neither Kara nor Lena will name it.
Everything shifts at the Foundation's inaugural fundraiser, when a guest looks at Kara and asks Lena, "Wait, she's not your girlfriend?"

The mechanic isn’t just pretty – she’s muscular. And sweaty. And broad. Her shoulders are wider than they look at first glance, and as she reaches up to remove her hat and wipe at her brow with her forearm, Lena can see her bicep flex.
Lena tries very hard not to be affected by that, or by the adorable red line the ball cap leaves on the woman’s forehead.
“Hi! I’m Kara. James said your Porsche gave out?”
OR
Needing to get away from the stress of her job for a few months, Lena buys a summer lake house in the most remote town she can find. She fully intends on keeping to herself, resting, and interacting as little as possible with the locals.
Until her car breaks down, and the town mechanic happens to be the hottest woman she’s ever seen.
