There really should have been some content warnings. Coz Jesus Christ....
(Spoilers!!!)Lots of dead kids here. Out of the 5 years Sarah's been in school, only one didn't have a dead child (it had a death though) and year 5 isn't even over yet (I'm scared). If a death could happen, more likely than not it has and it will.
Not for the faint hearted. That's not to say that it's for shock value. Every death is treated with the gravity it deserves. It makes for a bit of a depressing read, not because there's so much death, and other forms of nastiness, but because of how deeply it hurts the main character

Asami glanced at Korra and raised a brow. “So, it's still about choice, then? I thought the spirits chose for us.”
“It’s about recognition and I think the spirits nudge us,” Korra replied. “The stars mark the places where we’ve already met our soulmates–somewhere, sometime, in a different life. We just find our way back and the spirits help us recognize that bond.”
Asami’s gaze lingered on Korra a little longer, her expression unreadable. “You actually believe that?”
“I do,” Korra said without missing a beat.
Asami looked back up at the sky. “Then I hope the stars or the spirits know what they're doing,” she looked back at Korra with a small smile, “for your sake.”
Korra’s bottom lip was trapped between her teeth from holding herself back. Until said lip tugged up, its confines no longer able to contain the grin from spreading across her face. “They brought me here, didn't they?”

Summary
Reincarnating is a hell of a way to discover that souls are real, and being a baby again leaves Sky with little to do but read tutorial messages from the Game they're now playing, but at least in the world of Remnant having a soul guarantees you some superpowers. Pros: Aura, unisex bathrooms, watching the numbers on the character sheet go up. Cons: Apocalypse coming, incomplete future knowledge, terrifying shadow monsters, mushrooms, fear of provoking the Ozluminati.
I promised wordie that I would start posting this once Sky got to Beacon so that she could read it all in one place instead of just sending her chapters piecemeal. So here we go!
