Every day on his way to work, Welt walks past a strange building. He thinks nothing about it until the day when he spots a young man sitting in a window like a bird in a cage. Ethereal, glum, beautiful, it’s as if Welt is the only one who sees him. Instantly, a sense of curiosity becomes a preoccupation that draws Welt past the point of hopelessly smitten.
Without meaning to, this sudden diversion becomes the only bright spot in Sunday’s life, but he knows better than to hope that it’ll last. Though he shouldn’t, he’ll pretend he too is worthy of love.
