Summary
After a month of trying to infiltrate the League of Villains, Hawks was having no luck getting close to them for any intel, let alone his assassination target: Tomura Shigaraki. So far, there was always a middle-man involved whenever they had meetings, and the Hero Commission was growing impatient enough to give him a painful reminder that he has a job to do.
Of course, today of all days, is when Dabi calls Hawks in for a meeting.
In a twist of irony, he has no choice but to trust said villain into his home, and consequentially into a part of his life he's kept in the dark ever since the Hero Commission took him in.
Keigo Takami was poison, a curse that burned his lungs to remember.
Touya Todoroki was a hellfire, and breathing smoke was second nature.

The one time Childe had lowered his guard and made a friend, it had blown up in his face. The very target of his mission turned out to be someone that had slipped past his façade and settled into his life so easily, and just as easily shattered the peace by revealing the truth and following a contract.
To say Childe was hurt was an understatement, and he vowed to never speak to Zhongli again after what felt like a betrayal. He should have seen the signs, and he should not have lowered his guard and let someone in.

But when a letter appears at his desk, along with an offer, Childe finds it hard not to slip back into the comfortable routine he once had with the funeral consultant.There was a silent part of him that longed for his friend in ways that he couldn't understand, and that silent part was sure to devour him.

Thoma scowled and brought a hand to his chin, it was the expression Ayato normally saw him wear when there was a particularly difficult stain he couldn't get out, or there was a missing ingredient for the planned meal. He wasn't sure what exactly went on in Thoma's head in those moments, but it was probably the closest he'd ever get to looking angry.

It started as a bad joke. Twice asking if one of them would be Shigaraki's new favorite with Kurogiri gone now. Hadn't meant to play along. Didn't think any of them expected it to go this far, for their very obvious and terrible hero spy to get roped in too.
"He only manages to hold his tongue for two seconds. 'You know you can't be a honeypot if he already knows you're a spy, right?'
Hawks makes a very unhappy, exasperated bird noise, throwing his hands up and turning, then has them over his face, wings still trembling with his embarrassment. 'I'm not a honeypot! I'm not a spy! I didn't plan this!'

Summary
Now that he's away from the HPSC, Hawks is having to make a life for himself. It's strange that life consists of flock, and friends, and mates, but he's certainly not complaining. Even if things are a lot more complicated given that two of those three categories are filled by the most wanted group of terrorists in Japan. But that's fine. He's going to make this work-- no matter how many times the HPSC tries to stop him.

Summary
Spying on the League of Villains was a dangerous mission, but not a complicated one. Hawks was prepared to go through with it, to risk his life if it meant that other people might be saved in the process. Was not prepared to find out that Dabi and Tomura Shigaraki are dating. Was absolutely not prepared for the HPSC to reclassify his assignment as a honeytrap in the hopes that getting between the two would break up the League. Doesn't think anyone was prepared for what happens instead.

Words float off the page as Hawks vision blurs: UNPRESENTED, OMEGA, HORMONE IMBALANCE, SUPPRESSANTS. He flips the page devouring word after word, report after report, his heart beginning to pound as adrenaline starts to surge anew. This can’t be right, this can’t be real. The more he reads the faster his breathing starts to become.
Dabi slowly crouches down in front of him, trying not to startle the hero as he watches him tumble down down down from the pedestal he’s been perched so precariously upon.
Hawks wets his lips, his voice barely above a whisper, and so so hollow when he asks, “What happens now?”
Dabi’s head tilts like a birds at the question.
“To start, you could die for me.”OR
Dabi fakes Hawks death to give Keigo the chance to live a life of freedom. Now all he has to do is coax the abused hero into presenting so he isn't a ticking time bomb waiting to be set off if the Commission discovers he's alive.
