Summary
After their world was shattered by Cassandra's betrayal Eugene, Rapunzel, and Lance return to Corona only to find the kingdom devoid of its usual life. Finding out the Saporians took over the throne certainly wasn't the welcome home they were expecting. It was up to them to once again save the day— or, rather, the kingdom in this case— and put the criminals back in the deepest pits of the dungeon where they belong. The fact that Eugene could barely even recall who the Saporians even were made him confident it would be easy to put a stop to their takeover. It's just one more mess to clean up before they could finally try to settle down to process all the chaos they suffered through in the Dark Kingdom. Of course, things could never be that easy. He really should have known better. Finding out Varian was working with the Separatists made things infuriatingly complicated but it was finding out how they treated the alchemist that sent everything Eugene thought he knew up in flames. No amount of resentment he harbored for Varian could make Eugene stand by and let Varian suffer like this at Andrew's hands. Actually, he was beginning to question if he still had any anger left.

Summary
“Are you scared of me, Ranboo?” It’s fascinating to Dream, watching the boy cower. Knowing, having seen the way those thin fingers can break the laws of his server, to see them curled in fear as this monster child makes himself small, it’s some of the best entertainment he’s had since Tommy. “Aw, that’s almost cute.” He ruffles the boy’s hair, digging his calloused fingers into Ranboo’s scalp hard enough to bruise. “Don’t worry. This isn’t about you.”
“Then why?” Ranboo’s voice breaks like glass over stone and Dream cranks the angle of his head back so that their eyes are forced to meet. Or at least, so that Ranboo is made to stare up at painted porcelain.
“A little insurance. Depending on how this goes, you could be quite useful.” Dream slides his hand down to pinch at the half-enderman’s cheeks and sighs. “Isn’t that right, Techno?”

After escaping prison, Dream looks to cash in on the favor Technoblade owes him. The favor he knows his only true threat on the server has been neatly dodging. But with a mind-addled Ranboo neatly stashed as leverage, it's about time the two of them settled their score.
