Summary
This is a series of postcards sent from one stormtrooper to another from across the Galaxy. I handwrote each of these letters to my uncle, who was hospitalised early last year with cancer. He was my closest relative. He got me into Star Wars. We were both big star wars nerds, and while I was away at university I bought actual star wars planet cards and sent them to him with a story to cheer him up. I made us both stormtrooper characters, and wrote about adventures. He never got to finish them. I've sat on putting these out there, because the story isn't actually any good, but it meant something to me writing them for him in hospital to make him smile. He died on this day, last year, and I'm going to write the letters up today.

Will looks down at Isolde with a soft smile. He kneels in front of her for a moment, burying his face in the pale fur of her neck. He took a few grounding deep breaths.
“It’s going to get worse before it gets better,” he bumped his head against hers firmly before standing back up. “You ready for this?”

It's just after high school graduation and Armitage is spending his last few months working at the tiny shopping mall pet store where he's spent the last three years working his way up to manager and befriending the shops only permanent resident, a sassy orange cat. The unjudgmental cockatiels and lizards are the only ones around to listen to his sighs about giving up on his dream of veterinary school to obediently attend his father's alma mater and become a lawyer. He wants to treasure this time, however, Ben - the brooding, black-clad asshole who sat behind him in English class - started working at the movie theater upstairs and keeps dropping by. He's a gloomy nuisance, scaring away the children who stop to see the puppies and kittens, and constantly complaining about his parents trying to force him to go to college. Armitage wants to hate Ben for spoiling his last memories of his favourite place, but there's also something about him that makes Armitage start to question his own direction in life...
