“George,” Lando says, like it’s an accusation rather than merely a name. “Can’t believe you got turned on by that prick.”
He knows this isn’t really an insult.
“Shuddup,” is all he can manage as he licks the salt off the crevice where his thumb meets the back of his hand. (The white mark of a faded scar shines on his index finger. He looks away.) “I’m human.”
Lando scoffs and follows through with his shot; twisting his face at the taste.
“You’re an alpha,” he corrects - spitting out the remains of the accompanying lime wedge, like it means anything. “His scent was bloody thick. I can’t even fully blame you.”
“Well, you stripped off too,” he fires back - challenge reminiscent of the race still throbbing through his veins. “Just because the cameras were off, doesn’t mean I’ll forget it.”
After winning in Bahrain, Oscar somehow stumbles his way into a threesome. Not that he's complaining, of course - hell - he hasn't gotten any action since - well - them. And he's trying not to think about them - not today, not now; he's the only second-time winner of the season for God's sake.
He deserves one good night.

Logan stands on the balcony, the lights from Yas Marina Circuit still visible hundreds of floors below him, but not as bright as the stars above.
Oscar booked out the penthouse for them, Oscar who overtook the now retired Verstappen on the penultimate lap, Oscar who fell asleep before showering off, his Oscar, who is now a two-time World Champion.
Envy. It’s a cruel thing sometimes.
Especially to be envious of the person, Logan loves most.
He can’t show it. Well, he tries not to, although he’s sure Oscar notices. The stark difference in their professional lives is almost laughable, but even at the best of times, he can’t find a way to smile about it.
He sucks in a deep breath of the frigid early morning air, tipping his head up to the stars blinking down on him.
I want to win too.
Alternatively, it's 2028 and Logan makes a wish. It almost tears him apart.

Sometimes Oscar likes to use a cooking analogy to categorise, juggle, and maintain his life. The first time Mark had explained it to him he wasn’t sure how it related to Formula One at all. But now he thinks he understands better than anyone.
He likes to think back to his mother’s dinners.
The pasta shells - need the biggest pot and has the most water, but because of this, it takes the longest time to cook. That’s his racing - his exercise, his team commitments, his career.
The garlic mushrooms - a smaller frying pan but it hisses and spits if not stirred frequently enough. That’s his ego. His sense of self - his well-being, his identity. Needs to be calm, collected, determined, and controlled.
The chicken - decorated with thyme and pepper - a pot that is often relaxed, and mellow. That’s his relationships - with his friend, his team, his family and most importantly, Logan.
And then the last pot, something so small and on the back burner but perhaps the most important element of the dish - his power. Everyone is bestowed upon one from birth - it's just a matter of what you get, and how you use it.
He thinks he uses his quite well.

When Fernando went into it, it was just a game.
A ‘thank you’ of sorts to the billionaire that’s signed him - be nice to the billionaire’s pay-to-drive-got-a-seat-because-of-nepotism son when the cameras are rolling and boom - he’s in the Stroll’s good books.
The Aston Martin team needs some comfort going into the 2023 season because Lance fell off a bicycle and broke his wrists. Great. Fantastic. If his new teammate weren’t the boss’s son he he’d bully him for it, but he’s trying to detach himself from the reputation that precedes him when joining each new team.
Has he been, in the past, the best teammate in the world? No.
Is he going to turn over a new leaf? Sure.
The last thing he expects is for the game he's playing to meet a challenge in the form of Lance Stroll. The Lance Stroll who asks him a million questions, doesn't give a shit about his reputation, and isn't even almost scared of him.
The absolute last thing he expects is to slowly fall in love with him.
