Five fucking years. It took them five goddamn years to find her. Somehow, they had found his hiding spot and managed to prove that it really was Kiko. And with how brutally she was murdered, it wasn’t hard to build a case against him. Satori hadn’t gotten nearly as long as he wanted with his paradise. He was supposed to get away with it and live the rest of his life with Wakatoshi.

“What are you doing here? How did you get out?” Wakatoshi looked utterly terrified. Satori had to admit he didn’t mind it one bit. He smirked and sat up, propping his head up on his hand.
“Why I’m satisfying my melancholy~”

Summary
When the Daily Planet heard word of a new vigilante in Crime Alley that supposedly had no affiliation with Batman, Perry White thought it to be a nice short story—a quick in and out. After all, while the people of Metropolis had Superman, everyone knew of Batman, and a vigilante not working with him seemed interesting.
At least, that’s what Perry told his college intern. And her mentor Clark Kent when he raised concerns.
No one told her that the vigilante was intimidatingly attractive. Or that Crime Alley was the worse place in Gotham City. Or that her mentor would ask a friend to keep tabs on her. Or that the detective she’s staying with hates Batman despite working with him frequently. Or that the detectives neighbor was a really cute guy.
