“Dazai,” Chuuya warned. He didn’t have time for this.
Dazai’s face went flat, eyes glinting. “You can’t stop me from going.”
Chuuya threw his hands up in exasperation. “For crying out loud, Dazai! I can handle myself. Just take some meds and enjoy the day off, bastard,” he called over his shoulder as he left the room. He could feel Dazai glaring daggers at his back, but he didn’t care.
Let the patient sulk. Chuuya had a mission to prepare for.

Summary
“Chuuya!” he shouted, hopping, begging for a reply, even if it was a mindless howl. But no reply ever came. Chuuya’s movements suddenly halted, his body remaining unmoving in the air for a second before it started moving again, limbs turning and twisting in a way a human body shouldn’t allow. The only sound filling the unbearable silence of the night was that of Chuuya’s bones breaking.
Dazai had never thought about what life would be like without Chuuya; a mission gone wrong forces him to find out.

Summary
Under orders from Mori, Chuuya ships out west, leaving Kyouka in the hands of her mentor. He didn't expect to come back to what he did.

"You're leaving?" a small voice asks. Chuuya pauses in his bickering to glance at Kyouka. If possible, she has lost even more colour and her eyes were wide.
"Yeah," he says in a rush of air after a pause. Her stricken look deepens. "I'll be back. Missions like this don't normally take longer than a couple of months. Maybe a year, at most."
Kyouka nods, the movement almost imperceptible.
"Hey, you'll be okay. Kouyou will be here with you," he points out, reaching out to gently tug on a pigtail. She doesn’t move to bat him away, her eyes downcast. She retracts her hands, hiding them in her lap.

“They’re really cute, aren’t they?” Chuuya asks cheerfully, a smile in his voice. He bends down so his face is closer to hers, appearing like he’s just getting a closer look at the bunnies but his breath tickles her ear as he whispers, “It’s alright. We’re not on a mission. Act like a normal little girl.”
Kyouka blinks, turning back to the bunnies. She doesn’t relax, but the fear eases, almost fully dissipating. Of course, this was Chuuya-san, she didn’t need to fear him. However, his order didn’t settle as easily as his reassurance.
How can she act like something she’s completely forgotten how to be?
or: Chuuya takes Kyouka for a day away from the Mafia, but this one is different.
