The solution the council proposed is simple: an arranged marriage between Fire Lord Zuko and the eldest daughter of the respected Beifong family from the Earth Kingdom.
To the world, it is a symbol. To the politicians, it is strategic. A symbol of peace between nations.
But for them, it was never that simple.
