They haven’t known each other long enough for him to give a shit about things like that. A few years of working together and fucking whenever they felt the desire, or more, the need. The desperate, overwhelming hunger on rare moments they felt alive. After a close call, drawn to each other like the other had vital medicine for a fatal ailment.
Still, as he finds himself perusing the small options at the makeshift stand on the outskirts of the QZ -a risky trip, one he usually wouldn’t make for such a stupid reason- he thinks about the fact that she’s allergic to peanuts.
(Joel helps Tess take care of something- and he realizes that his feelings for her are far more complicated than he once thought)
