Summary
Self insert fic.
You are involved with both Sylus and Rafayel.
Rafayel needs you to act as his bodyguard to find yet another material he can use for his paints. This means you are forced to spend a lot more time with him at his studio, and with the cat he swears he does not like.
Sylus and you are both in search of a protocore which is rumored to be in N109. This means you are spending more time researching at his base and going out on intelligence collecting dinner dates.
Eventually everyone's paths cross. Chapters are labeled accordingly.
Leaning into a James Bond esque plot.

Summary

Step one: Introduce someone who never completely dealt with their own experiences to someone who has just been freed from their personal hell.
Step two: Complicate this further with aggressive implications of world-ending doom.
Step three: Throw in an archfey that prides themselves on being an engaged and hands-on patron but is actually also kind of weird, even by fey standards.
Step four: Profit?
Generally canon-compliant, not-entirely-a-rewrite of BG3. Astarion x Tav: Echo is a high elf bladelock that has spent too much time around an archfey and it shows.
Chock full of trauma and yearning, but there are puns to keep things light.
