Summary
Hell wants Hikaru. But Yoshiki is not willing to let him go.
When Yoshiki Tsujinaka hears voices calling his name as he leaves his college campus one night, the last thing he expects is to have his ass saved from demons by his best friend, Hikaru Indou. But Hikaru is not the same as he once was. He's faster, stronger, a lot more of a crybaby… and he's a vampire. Turns out, Tokyo overlaps with the underworld, the world of the demons, and that world is calling out to Hikaru Indou. Though his memories of his life are a blur, one memory remained, and it called out to Hikaru a lot louder than hell every could. Despite the fact that Hikaru is supposed to be in hell and Yoshiki attracts demons who want to consume his soul, the two of them are bound to each other—and it does not take long for the underworld to notice.
When the world threatens to tear them apart, they might just have to go to hell and back to stay together.

Yoshiki shuts his eyes and mulls it over. Hikaru did construct his own body, so there are bound to be discrepancies, one could argue. At the same time, Hikaru spent a lot of time in the body that Hikaru is walking around in now, so he ought to know what it looks like. And what it feels like. It’d been him in the first place that noticed his own teeth were a bit sharper, while Yoshiki was captivated by the sight of him biting into an apple core… and then the whole conversation kind of spiralled from there.
“Oiiiii. Yo-shi-ki.” Hikaru’s knee jabs into his side, and Yoshiki folds forward like a playing card tower. “Stop spacin’ off.”
“I’m not,” Yoshiki argues, frowning. “I’m just thinking about this. It’s weird, isn’t it?”
“Does it matter?” Hikaru asks—to be fair, he sounds genuine about it. The hand he’d gestured with a moment ago has returned to Hikaru; that is to say, it’s been recaptured as Hikaru toys with his fingers, thumbing over each digit thoughtfully with his eyes now half-lidded.

Summary
Hikaru is excited for their outing right up until he isn’t. That is, he shows Yoshiki exhibits on his phone and they point out fish that they think look like each other. He nudges Yoshiki in class on the Tuesday before to ask if he knows what he’s going to grab Kaoru in the gift shop, and of course Yoshiki doesn’t without seeing what they have on offer, but it makes him happy to see Hikaru so excited.
Then, on Friday and Saturday, he doesn’t bring up the trip at all. When Sunday morning does arrive, there’s a knock on Yoshiki’s door right on time, but when he shuffles over (still in the process of getting ready, a toothbrush in his mouth) to answer it, he finds it isn’t Hikaru at all who’s standing on the other side.
“...Uh,” Yoshiki blinks and takes the toothbrush out of his mouth.
“...Hi.” Asako lifts her hand, smiling awkwardly. She has the aquarium passes between two fingers. “Sorry, am I uh… too early?”

Hikaru bails on aquarium plans with Yoshiki at the last minute.

Yoshiki notices minor shifts in Hikaru’s behaviour after the mountain incident. He believes that whatever it is that came back down from Nisayama is not his friend.
Meanwhile, Hikaru is plotting something that might actually just kill Yoshiki.
Or, how Yoshiki suffers from existential angst and gains two boyfriends at once.
