Summary
Hermione rolled away and sat up, and Draco propped himself up on his elbows. She smiled a little sadly and ran a finger along his collarbone, traced up his neck, tugged at his hair, just the once. “If I didn’t have magic,” she whispered, “I wouldn’t even want to know about it.”
Draco wasn’t positive what he was supposed to be searching for. He wasn’t positive what branch of magic, precisely, would carry the information, the academic and arcane secrets, that the Dark Lord needed. The ones Draco would be trying to distort just enough to prevent him from reaching his ends.
See by this point, Draco’s a researcher for the Dark Lord, a spy for the Order, and he and Hermione are just doing their best to help each other win this war.
