Summary
"Mike looks up, shocked, as though he didn't expect the door he just knocked on to open. He looks… Well. Will isn't really sure how he looks. He looks good, of course, Will always (traitorously. Stupidly) thinks he looks good. But he also looks kind of wrecked. His eyes aren't exactly red rimmed like he's been crying, instead it looks like he's been spending a lot of time trying very hard not to cry. His face is the same though, strong nose, expressive eyebrows, high cheekbones. Will has books of sketches of these features. He knows them better than his own at this point. Even now.
God, he thinks, I'm so fucked. Because, despite everything, despite the past few years of diminishing contact and somewhat reciprocal pulling away, seeing Mike startled and clearly in some level of crisis at the door of his shitty New York apartment Will feels his foolishly flaming heart flung itself out of his body and into Mike's palms. As though it has always belonged there."
- Post canon Will and Mike drift apart - until something happens which sends Mike unexpectedly to Will's door in the middle of the night. Mostly just Mike breaking down and being honest and Will having feelings.

Summary
Stiles was standing on the ledge of the roof of the tallest building in Beacon Hills (an abandoned factory, why was it always an abandoned factory?) - he couldn’t remember how he had gotten here or why, he couldn’t even remember why that should matter. All he could feel was the cool breeze caressing his face, beckoning him forward and the ice of his heart cracking open.
“You know this is the right thing to do,” the soft, honeyed voice was saying to him, “No one would even miss you." He could feel the truth in her words, could feel them etching themselves into his bones.

Summary
Stiles took a deep breath and slowly let it out, feeling his heartbeat begin to calm, as it always did in reaction to his alpha’s reassurances.
“... I’m in love with you.” He stared down at his fingers picking at the fabric of the couch, he couldn’t believe it was just out there now.- Stiles confesses his love because he can't just keep bottling it up. -

Summary
“We haven’t done this since middle school,” Will says, voice barely above a whisper.
“Huh,” Mike whispers back. “Yeah, guess not.”
A couple years ago, Mike read a National Geographic article about a phenomenon called the polar night. In the farthest north and south regions of the globe, there are weeks, sometimes months depending on how close you are to the poles, where the sun does not rise above the horizon, plunging the world into a perpetual nighttime. Living in such conditions, the article had explained, can affect one’s circadian rhythm, heighten issues with concentration and energy levels, and cause a spike in depressive symptoms among local populations. Some resort to using light therapy lamps to mimic the daylight.
It was only after the Byers moved away, all those years ago, that Mike began to understand what the prolonged absence of the sun can do to a person.
The Upside Down is gone, and everyone has made it out unscathed. In the aftermath of the not-so-end of the world, snowballs turn into avalanches. Sometimes it just takes time.
or: Mike gets into Brown, Will gets into RISD, and the friends-to-???-to-lovers slowburn that ensues.

Summary
“Do you wanna sit between them?” Mike interrupts him, voice glazed with honey as he speaks. He keeps his cock tight against Will’s ass as he leans forwards, kissing from Will’s shoulder blade to his neck until he reaches the space behind Will’s ear. Will whimpers impatiently at the gesture, trying to wriggle his hips against Mike’s.
“My legs, when I spread them?”
Will loves the way Mike always sits with his legs spread.
Mike is a perceptive, cocky bastard, so he knows that—and invites Will to sit between them. -

Summary
In a desperate, last-ditch flail of an effort to salvage the situation, Mike grabbed Will’s arm.
The silence veered from heavy to charged. All of Mike’s attention surged into his hand. He felt like the entirety of his consciousness was suddenly located in the place where his skin touched Will’s.
What the fuck, thought Mike for the second time in ten minutes.
Or,
After first using his powers, Will falls unconscious—and stays that way. Refusing to leave Will's side, Mike reflects on the last year and a half while he waits for Will to wake up.aka mikewhatthefuckdidyoudogate, FEATURING: wound cleaning, bed sharing, disco, Jealous!Mike, queer literary analysis, & the most horrifying eldritch specter of all (gay panic).
