Summary
Tim Drake never actually wanted to become part of the Robin-Batman-vigilante outfit. No, really. But the last Robin up and died, and now Batman is going crazy, and no one else is doing anything about it, so...Tim decides to become Robin. He might as well, right? At the very least it'll give him something to do while his parents are gone.
Still, Tim's not taking up the mantle until he can put a couple of things in order. Step one? Making sure the Joker can't get it into his head to kill another Robin. Not ever again. (Good thing Tim's not the one with a 'no killing' rule.)
And then after that? Well, after that it's only just a matter of keeping Batman from learning Tim's identity and subsequently chasing him off. Not until Bruce can get back on his feet and pick a new Robin, a real one this time. Easy-peasy.

(This started off as a regular Jason-adopts-Tim fic and somehow ended up with them in Russia with Young Justice and the al Ghuls so read at your own risk)
(Jason adopted Tim to save him from his asshole parents. To keep him safe. Then Damian adopted Tim and declared himself the older brother, because obviously the more mature one is the oldest. Then Talia adopted Tim. Then Dick and Bruce found out Jason's alive. Then Dick got happy because he now has a new baby brother, Damian! And Bruce got sad because Jason doesn't wanna talk to him. Clark is staring down blankly at a wrist, trapped in his hand somehow, his thumb right on that large vein. The heartbeat starts to run, and he rubs his thumb gently along it, which is when it starts to sing.
“Well who might you be?"
Clark lets go at the saccharine tone. Darts his gaze up, flushing. Bruce Wayne’s gaze meets his, eyes dissecting and dark in contrast to the playboy leer. He wonders how many people fall for the smile that didn’t reach his eyes and fall for the voice that hides that darkness. (sings like a knife's edge, a warsong)
