Summary
“What are you thinking about?”
A muffled voice, gravely and deep that he knew oh so well, pulled him from his thoughts with a smile. Lucifer always joked that they shared some form of telepathy, some kindred feeling that the other always knew when they were lost in thought, even if the other wasn’t present or in this case, fast asleep.
“The first time we met,” Lucifer replies, squeezing Alastor’s hand. He felt a light squeeze back in return, Alastor’s fingers finding his own ring and trailing over the band, much like Lucifer had done to him earlier. He let out a quiet laugh, more of a sleepy huff than anything. He was still half asleep, and it somehow made these touches feel more intimate than anything else.
“Look at us now,” Alastor said, dropping a kiss on his skin, “I guess I had to put you out of your misery at some point and say yes. Both times.”
