    Five times Peter doesn't think Tony would want to know about his trauma.
    Each chapter will be a different problem Peter tries to face on his own: panic attacks/flashbacks, bullying, physical injury, etc. There will be underlying themes of sexual assault aftermath throughout, so please be careful reading. This will be a sensitive and realistic portrayal of the effects of SA trauma with no explicit scenes. I will handle this with care! But please read with care, too.

    One time Peter realizes he 100% trusts Tony. I adore this chapter so much.

    Plus at least another chapter of pure healing and love, so I'm going to set this as a 7 chapter fic!

    “Please don’t let me die,” Peter whispers, eyes wide as everyone takes their places, the surgeon picking up a scalpel. “I don’t want to go, please.”

    He watches as a woman leans down close to his ear and talks to him lowly.

    “Here’s the secret, baby,” she says. “You control this whole thing. If you live, if you die – it’s all up to you. So whatever fight you’ve got in you, you have to pull it out now.”

    Peter stares at her, confused. How is he supposed to do that? How does he just… decide? He can’t do anything, no one can even hear him. All he knows is that he doesn’t want to die. Not yet. He has too many people he can’t leave behind.

    May. Tony. Ned. MJ. The Avengers. Spider-Man.

    He can’t leave them yet.

    After a car accident leaves him hanging somewhere between life and death, Peter must decide whether to stay or die. The answer isn't as easy as he thought it'd be. Luckily, he has his friends and the Avengers there to help him figure it out.

    Peter looks away angrily, shaking his head in disbelief, “I’m not just some dumb kid, Mr. Stark. I can help, I know I can.”

    “What can you do? Do you have any leads? Any clues? Something that makes you believe that you have a better insight into this guy than law enforcement does?”

    Peter waivers, and looks down at his sneakers, “Well, not exactly but-”

    “No but, there’s either proof or there’s nothing, sounds like you have nothing, Peter.”

    “But Mr. Stark, I can just try to-”

    “Look at me,” Tony demands and Peter hesitantly raises his eyes, “Promise me you are going to leave this alone. Let the police do their jobs. Take a step back from this.”

    A serial killer is picking off teenagers left and right, but despite Mr. Stark's warning, Peter goes looking for the killer. For six months, the kid disappears without a trace, presumably taken and killed. Until finally the killer makes a mistake. Tony is left with more questions than answers, and the Peter he once knew is not the same. Westcott's done terrible things, and damaged Peter in ways no one could have imagined. But little does Tony know, Westcott's history with Peter goes deeper than his visible injuries.

    There was so much emotion in that one word that Peter wondered how he had ever doubted that Tony loved him. They had never said it out loud, just showed it in a way that spoke louder than words ever could.

    Maybe he’d feel better if he closed his eyes, just for a second. It was too dark to see anything clearly anyway, and he’d be able to concentrate better without seeing how fast the ground was coming up to meet him.

    A rush of wind sent goosebumps across his skin before two strong hands gripped his shoulders tightly, keeping him upright and from nose-diving straight into the alleyway cement.

    Peter snapped his eyes open, blinking a couple times to clear his vision. Everything was blurry. Was that…?
