The bullet went through Satoru’s forehead. It seems he wouldn’t be getting a real answer after all. All he had now was an incomplete puzzle with pieces he would have to imagine to fill the gaps.
“Right. Yeah, yeah, of course. Friends. Friends who help each other out with projects or jerk each other off. Same category.” He rubs at the back of his neck. “So when you say friends, do you mean like-”
“With benefits,” Suguru finishes.
Satoru froze, similar to the icicles hanging on the veranda above them. He slowly lifts his head back up.

Satoru's hands clench in his pants pockets, and he feels the hairs on the back of his neck raise. It’s not possible. But then…he would never mistake it. It may have been 10 years, but he’d never forget these residuals. The Six-Eyes broaden their focus, searching the area. Satoru swallows, his throat clicking, and he steps forward. He doesn’t hurry his pace, unsure of what he’ll find, and he walks toward a small alley that juts out from the main street.
Crumpled on the ground, back leaning against one of the buildings, is Suguru.

10 years after Geto Suguru defects from Jujutsu society, he suddenly appears in front of Satoru alone and dying. Satoru refuses to let him die because this is his second chance. Their second chance.

Something flashed in Geto’s eyes for a moment before his lips turned into a smile. “I’m glad you can finally admit that. Will you let me go now?”
If he didn’t want to give Gojo what he wanted, if asking nicely wasn’t enough, then, despite every contradiction and rational thought, he would take it.
His hand moved before he could even realize, and his palm met Geto’s cold, smooth skin with a sharp, echoing smack. He slapped him.
Even the smallest difference can cause pivotal divergence in fates—even one short sentence. Months after the Star Plasma Vessel’s death, Suguru’s real thoughts slipped his lips, and that knocked over the first domino. His confession sent Satoru spiraling and led him to the realization that his best friend was struggling with something beyond his comprehension. Can Satoru really change their fate when Suguru is so stubborn?
OR Of course, Satoru can’t talk Suguru out of his derangement, so—he fucks it out of him. Lol.
