He quickly got into position on the bed, laying on the stomach with his feet crossed in the air, holding a toy carrot in his mouth. The fluffy handcuffs were laying next to him as a reminder of what might happen after Minho sees him, as if the entire atmosphere of the room wasn't a reminder enough.
He listens to Minho's footsteps pad down the hallway slowly, and he could already see his expression. Furrowed brows, rapid blinking.
It made him smile without even realizing.
He heard Minho stop outside the door and he took a deep breath as the door creaked open slowly.
The door stopped. They made eye contact, but no one said anything.
Jisung held his head up with his fists, smiling at Minho like it was a regular occurrence.
He opened his mouth to drop the carrot, still smiling. "Happy birthday."
