The voice that spoke back was crackling and hoarse. If he weren’t able to see the man in front of him, he might’ve not believed it to be his. “Get out.”
“It won’t work.” Owen crouched near the door to the cell. The place smelled of silver and grime, making him wrinkle his nose. The thin bars of the cell made it easy for him to see the doctor. “It takes more than that scrape to kill a vampire.”
Legundo didn’t look his way. “I said get out.”
“Protective of your prison, Doctor?” He pulled a bottle of crimson out of his pocket, offering it through the bars. “Starvation won’t kill you either.”

He tells himself he just wants the advantage of taking the town's doctor, but why is he so concerned for the new fledglings wellbeing?

Summary
200 years after surviving Oakhurst, the surviving vampires gather to remember their fallen comrades. Unfortunately for them, their former friends (and foes) have reincarnated and have also returned to Oakhurst. And reactivated the beacons, trapping six vampires, two half vampires, one half demon, and six humans within the borders of this cursed town once again.
Important note: This is an alternate version of 'Coming Home (Take Me Home to the Valley)'. I may have accidentally deleted the whole thing while trying to remove a chapter or six. Coming Home has been re-uploaded, but it will not be updated any further than it had been due to certain CCs being awful.

Summary
Owen fully intented to die in Oakhurst, his fate sealed the moment the cure was thrown upon him. His 'covenmates' seemed to have different ideas, and were quite privy to the idea of atonement.
He knew their games though. The brunette saw the darkest in their hearts and he may have been ignorant to most vampiric knowledge, but he knew how possessive a coven could be of each other.
So now here he was trapped inside a New York penthouse, 200 years after the Second Fall of Oakhurst. Let to rot. Forced to bond with the very people he despised.
OR
Owen survives the events of Oakhurst and is now forced into a house arrest and It's safe to say he is not happy with the arrangements. Meanwhile the others are just trying to be supportive and bond with Owen, while doing it in a very co-dependant, overprotective way.
