It’s funny, Hayden thinks as he tries to blink away tears. That almost sounds like Marlow.
“Shit.” The disembodied voice that sounds an awful lot like Marlow seems panicked now. Hayden wants to fall into the low vibrations that spread across his neck as a result, but something keeps him from letting go. “Pike? Hey, man, I need you to sit up for me, okay?”
