Luke pulled away from his mother's embrace and wondered if falling from a tower was a better fate than the one that had befallen him.

Maekar frowned. “You rut in me and spill your seed,” he answered plainly. “And we couple thereafter until I quicken with child.”
Baelor was silent for a moment.
“That is all you know of a bedding?” he asked at last. “Ruttings?”
Maekar’s brow furrowed deeper. “What else is there?”

An ambitious plan— now if only the alphas around him would stop mysteriously disappearing...
Or, alternatively, a cat and mouse game between an insane dragon who suffers from chronic down-badism and a clumsy oaf who doesn't even know he's playing.
