Summary
Within each of his downward spirals into the depths of his own emotions, every late night left contemplating his ceiling as if the blank expanse could suddenly spell out a concrete answer, Shadow finds himself falling face down at the bottom of his heart. An abyss he has perfected pretending is empty, unable to acknowledge even to himself that the valves and chambers circulating his existence are freshly painted in cobalt blue. He hits the ground with a lack of grace, always finding himself surprised at the revelation that stares back at him with an obvious tone and an attempt to coax and comfort.
Even within his own subconscious, he cannot escape the primary shade — refuses to believe he is the one that put it there in the first place.

Six thousand years ago, when Aziraphale had met Crowley on the wall of Eden, watching the first two humans set out to begin the rest of history, something deep within him, more central even than his Grace, had thought, oh, it’s you, and that had been enough for him--for both of them, he assumed--for three millennia.
However much he wanted to ask, he didn’t know how. The words simply weren’t there.

Apollo is a nerd. Walk into his office, and you’ll see several volumes of manga sitting alongside law books on his desk. Klavier is, by most people’s definition, NOT a nerd. So predictably, when he first hears Apollo gushing about his various interests, Klavier has no idea what he’s talking about. That doesn’t stop him from pretending to be just as invested, eager for the excuse to talk to his crush. What he doesn’t expect, however, is for Apollo to invite him over for an anime marathon, and Klavier now has to figure out how to convince Apollo that he’s more interested in the shows rather than the person he’s watching them with.

You… have been given flowers before, right? You’re a rockstar.”

Apollo realizes that he’s maybe not the most romantic person in the world. Apollo has come to terms with the fact that he commits too hard and too early. It’s a fundamental personality flaw, and now that he knows, he swears up and down to be more careful and not preemptively sabotage any relationships he does attempt. If any.
At least, that’s the expectation he has when he agrees to go on a date with Klavier Gavin.

In an effort to promote said album, his agency creates We Gott Married, a web series that pairs Klavier up with a fan (read: industry plant) and films them as they play at married life.

He’s restless. He can’t seem to get comfortable, until Apollo rearranges the pillows behind him and once again brushes the hair out of his face, taking the hair tie that Klavier hands him and putting it up in a ponytail. The tenderness of it all, the sheer softness—it could make Klavier cry, especially when Apollo feels his temperature again and cups Klavier’s face with his hand.
“Will you let me stay and look after you?” Apollo asks. “I feel awful that I didn’t give you my coat earlier yesterday. This whole thing could have been prevented.”
When a snowstorm hits the crime scene he's investigating—in three-quarter length pants and a t-shirt—Klavier is freezing. And Apollo's coat seems so warm, it would be a shame not to take him up on the offer of wearing it.

Kay Faraday whips off her old gray overcoat, tossing it at Sebastian (who it hits in the face) and storms toward the car. She rolls up the sleeves of her button-down shirt and cracks her knuckles like she’s about to get into a fight, and then Apollo can really only stand there and watch as she practically tears the car door off its hinges, bodily yanking one Klavier Gavin by his ankles right out of the backseat. He falls on his ass on Apollo’s front lawn, and Apollo very nearly turns on his heel to walk right back into his house then and there because now is the perfect time to realize that not only is he wielding a sparkly pink baseball bat from Walmart, he is still very much wearing that Gavinner’s t-shirt that Trucy bought him for his birthday.
in which Apollo really just wants to have a pleasant morning off, but fate has decided to drop Klavier Gavin (and his dog) at his doorstep for an indeterminate amount of time, or, a very smitten Klavier Gavin has a stalker and needs a place to hide, and that place is a very oblivious Apollo's.
