“Oh,” Shōta replies, blinking at Hizashi, a look of mild surprise on his face. “Yeah, I think I grew a few centimeters. I’m probably about as tall as you now.”
That’s not what I meant, Hizashi thinks, but doesn’t say aloud.

It’s just little things at first.
Things that only Catra notices. Comments that aren’t even really supposed to be mean, she doesn’t think.
Perfuma would call that ‘a breakthrough’. That Catra’s not automatically assuming the worst when it comes to people that she knows aren’t intentionally cruel. Even if Catra would deserve that from them.
It’s just….she’s different.
