Phoenix then started flirting with him, and he started flirting with Phoenix, and one drink become two, then four, then he lost count.
Before he knew it they were in a taxi back, then his apartment, then his bed, and the lace underwear he wore that he tried so hard to keep secret was absolutely not one anymore, and he couldn't be happier if he tried.
My god did they have a lot to talk about once they regained the brain-power to do so.

miles and phoenix are really oblivious, flirt a whole bunch after far too many cocktails, and end up briefly discussing their feelings for each other before having sex. miles wears lace underwear and phoenix thinks he's died and gone to heaven. they're disgustingly in love and very, very soft with one another. phoenix wright is absurdly kind and miles edgeworth learns he's allowed to want. that's all.10k words of flirting, 7k words of fucking, 10k words of them being stupidly in love.
