Gwen had not expected to have a late night conversation with Je- Lie- she had to get this down, it was not that hard- Captain Morales when she accepted Miles' invitation to stay the night. She just wanted to get out of her house. To spend one night out of the suffocating nothing her house seemed to exude.
But expectations were rarely reality. So when she wakes up from a... well, the Captain didn't need to know it wasn't a nightmare, and her plan for water quickly collapsed, Gwen figures tonight won't go well. Things with adults rarely do.

Sometimes, Itsuka forgot what it was like to be human. Her emotions were stuck in a nondescript box, unable to be found even in the most dire of situations, pain was stuck in the back of her brain, and a faint nausea curdled in her stomach but only barely enough to make it past the dense fog clouding her every move.
Her thoughts would be caught with the pain, barely audible but still running. Like computer programming. Needed to keep her going, but so fast and quiet it was simply binary in a constant stream.

“Hi, Uraraka,” Izuku greeted.
She frowned. “You know, you haven’t been smiling as much lately. Are you okay?”
Izuku blinked. “Oh, really? I didn’t notice.” He raised his arm to ruffle his hair. “It's nothing, really, no need to worry.” Or, at least, it was nothing that he couldn’t handle on his own. No need to concern his friend with his problems. He’d had depression for a while, he was fine to cope on his own, and his mother already knew he’d been feeling off.
Fine, he was fine.
