Summary
I have a lot to say about the Stargaze soundtrack.
The non-standard "instrument" choices make it fun to listen to, but are also so deliberate that the soundtrack itself hints at even the more abstract themes present in Trigun. The same composer worked on both Stampede and Stargaze, so the soundtracks really act as a window into the development of both seasons.
This is a (not so brief) discussion of the experimental sounds used in the Stargaze soundtrack and how they emphasize onscreen plot points and possibly allude to scrapped scenes.
