Summary
Eddie doesn’t fancy himself a scientist by any means, but he knew this was going to take some work. Conditioning sounds too clinical, so he’s going with exposure therapy, instead.
“Buck,” Eddie calls. “Can you come in here for a minute?”
He needs to find a way to make it easier for Buck to simply exist, and Eddie knows the only way he’ll get that is if it’s an order.

Summary
See, Eddie wasn’t some kind of traditionalist. He didn't care about old-fashioned gender roles. He didn't think omegas belonged stuck in a kitchen, and he didn't think alphas had to be the absolute bosses of everything. But he did believe in instincts. He believed in the natural order of things and what a body was meant to do.
And looking at Buck, Eddie drew his own quiet conclusions: Buck was living in the wrong shell. He was miserable trying to force himself into the alpha mould, running himself ragged trying to live up to a biology that didn't fit his soul.
Buck would be so much happier, so much better off, if he could just be an omega.
In which, Eddie helped Buck become the omega he was meant to be.

Summary
He jerks away from her, hisses. "Tell me where he is," he demands. "I know something is wrong—I felt it, when I was under, I—I need to know he's okay, Hen."
Hen swallows, shaking her head. "He's…he's in the hospital, Eddie. But—"
Eddie's knees give out. He falls directly onto them, ignoring the way Hen and Chim immediately squat down beside him, hands that aren't Buck's touching him, trying to get him to relax. It's like the nightmare won't end, he thinks. Like this is the shift from hell that'll never stop.
"I need him," he whimpers. "I need—Buck."
OR: Buck gets hurt while Eddie is trapped underground in "Eddie Begins."

Summary
He slides off of the arm of the chair and onto where Duke gestured, trying not to land too heavy. As he does it he watches Robby’s expression change – concern melting away as he raises his eyebrows and runs a hand through his beard. He looks impressed. Dennis made the right move.
Duke sounds delighted, “There we go. Taking it like a man, aren’t you? Not so shy around a bit of attention.”
Dennis feels himself flush at this, it escapes no one’s notice and a moment of quiet falls in the garage. Some old rock tune in the background plays on. There’s a sense of anticipation; they want to know what Dennis will say.
“I can take it,” he repeats.
“Good man.”
