Hakuba had inserted himself into Kaito’s life. If they’d never met at all, Kaito could continue on pleasantly happy without him. But, now, Kaito knew that if Hakuba were to leave—for any reason—something inside of him would break.

Summary
Heiji had thought that his friend group would remain fairly stagnant for the foreseeable future. But being forced to spend time with Hakuba--and solve a murder with him--changes things, because suddenly Heiji has a new lead on the Black Organization and he's most certainly *not* involving Kudo.
Or Alternatively: Heiji makes some new friends, has a fight with Shinichi, and takes down the Black Organization. Oddly enough, in exactly that order.
